Hamshushalayim 2012 will take place in Jerusalem over four weekends during November and December: 29 Nov-1 Dec, 6 – 8 Dec, 13 – 15 Dec and 20-22 Dec.

During the Hamshushalayim weekends, there will be tens of musical performances, theatrical and dance performances and special tours for no charge or for a small fee. Museums and tourist sites in Jerusalem will be open to visitors for free from 21:00-01:00. In addition, there will be a special culinary experience offered – tens of restaurants will be offering discounts and special offers to visitors.

The events will take place at various venues around the city – in the center of town, the Old City, by the museums and in Ein Karem.

During October and November there will be a special Middle Ages celebration in the Old City: Jerusalem Knights.

The event will include musicians, knights, princesses, troubadours, court jesters, pyrotechnics and acrobatic performances along the streets and alleyways of the Christian Quarter.

The event will take place on Thursday evenings:  October 18th and 25th, November 1st and 8th (3rd 10th, 17th, 24th), from 18:00-23:00 beginning from Jaffa Gate.

The Houses From Within festival returns to Tel Aviv and will take place from 17-19 October. During the event, the public can visit and tour private houses, villas, public buildings, gardens and other interesting sites of architectural significance.

The event is FREE. Most tours are open to the public; some are limited and require pre-registration.

During the Pesach vacation, children in the periphery will be able to enjoy one of more than 200 plays for free!

The Ministry of Sport and Culture will be sponsoring two hundred quality and classic plays in over 110 locations around Israel over the course of Pesach.

Entry to all the performances is free for children; accompanying adults will be charged a nominal fee of 10-20 NIS.

Rami Levi is celebrating 35 years with a huge festival at Binyanei HaUmah in Jerusalem. The event will include workshops and activities for the whole family, performances for children and more.

The festival will take place on Wed and Thurs, 2-3 November, from 14:00-22:00 at Binyanei HaUmah. Rinat Gabbai and Saba Tuvia will be performing at the event.

Entry is FREE. Public transportation is advised.

A Shoofuni Shoe Fair will take place during Sukkot. Shoofuni is the largest shoe fair in Israel, and this season they will also be offering bags and children’s shoes. A discount of 20% will be offered on shoes and bags from the new collection and up to 70% discount on older collections.

During the event there will also be activities such as shoe design workshops for children and adults, manicures and pedicures, a miniature shoe display, games and more.

The fair will take place from 14-16 October at Hangar 2, Jaffa Port.
