Hamshushalayim 2012

Hamshushalayim 2012 will take place in Jerusalem over four weekends during November and December: 29 Nov-1 Dec, 6 – 8 Dec, 13 – 15 Dec and 20-22 Dec.
During the Hamshushalayim weekends, there will be tens of musical performances, theatrical and dance performances and special tours for no charge or for a small fee. Museums and tourist sites in Jerusalem will be open to visitors for free from 21:00-01:00. In addition, there will be a special culinary experience offered – tens of restaurants will be offering discounts and special offers to visitors.
The events will take place at various venues around the city – in the center of town, the Old City, by the museums and in Ein Karem.

Jerusalem Knights – Free Evening Entertainment

During October and November there will be a special Middle Ages celebration in the Old City: Jerusalem Knights.
The event will include musicians, knights, princesses, troubadours, court jesters, pyrotechnics and acrobatic performances along the streets and alleyways of the Christian Quarter.
The event will take place on Thursday evenings: October 18th and 25th, November 1st and 8th (3rd 10th, 17th, 24th), from 18:00-23:00 beginning from Jaffa Gate.

Free plays Over Pesach!

The Ministry of Sport and Culture will be sponsoring two hundred quality and classic plays in over 110 locations around Israel over the course of Pesach.
Entry to all the performances is free for children; accompanying adults will be charged a nominal fee of 10-20 NIS.

Rami Levy Birthday Festival

Rami Levi is celebrating 35 years with a huge festival at Binyanei HaUmah in Jerusalem. The event will include workshops and activities for the whole family, performances for children and more.
The festival will take place on Wed and Thurs, 2-3 November, from 14:00-22:00 at Binyanei HaUmah. Rinat Gabbai and Saba Tuvia will be performing at the event.
Entry is FREE. Public transportation is advised.

“The Flood Festival” in Jerusalem

In honor of Shabbat Noah, Teva Ivri and the Ginot Ha’Ir Community Council invite the public to “The Flood Festival” – a celebration of Judaism and the environment – which will take place on Friday October 28, from 10:00-14:30 in Emek Refaim Street and in the courtyard of the Nature Museum in Jerusalem.
Activities will include: a Noah’s Ark parade, street performers, music, environmental displays, lectures and learning, an ecological craft fair and workshops for the whole family.

Free Event – Materna in the Park

Materna will be hosting a big event – “Materna in the Park” at Peres Park in Holon from 1-3/6, 10:00-19:00 (Friday until 15:00). Mothers and babies/toddlers are invited to spend time together and enjoy all the activities on offer. Entry is FREE. Free parking at the venue.
There will be workshops suitable to different ages and stages of development – prior registration is necessary for the workshops.
The will also be performances suitable to babies and toddlers, puppet shows, story hour, art and craft activities (recycling and environment theme), diaper changing station, large drawing board for children, a large gymboree play area, and more.
