In honor of International Museum Day, the Association of Museums and ICOM Israel invite the public to visit 77 museums around Israel for FREE this Thursday, May 10, Lag Ba’Omer. The museums include: Beit Ha-Tefutzot (Diaspora Museum), Haifa Art Museum, Israel Museum (Jerusalem), Eretz Israel Museum (Tel Aviv), Nahum Gutman Art Museum (Tel Aviv), Madatech (Haifa), Ashdod Art Museum, Rishon LeTzion Museum and Tikotin Museum of Japanese Art.

Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality will be distributing wood for Lag BaOmer bonfires to local residents.

Wood distribution will take place from Mon-Wed, 7-9 May, 14:00-22:00 at the following locations, while supplies last: Reading – cemetery area, Kikar HaMedina, Shlavim parking lot in Yafo and Wolfson Park parking lot.

The Houses From Within festival returns to Tel Aviv and will take place from 17-19 October. During the event, the public can visit and tour private houses, villas, public buildings, gardens and other interesting sites of architectural significance.

The Ministry of Sport and Culture will be sponsoring two hundred quality and classic plays in over 110 locations around Israel over the course of Pesach.

Entry to all the performances is free for children; accompanying adults will be charged a nominal fee of 10-20 NIS.
