Free Entry to 77 Museums Around Israel on Thursday!

In honor of International Museum Day, the Association of Museums and ICOM Israel invite the public to visit 77 museums around Israel for FREE this Thursday, May 10, Lag Ba’Omer. Free entry is for individuals and not large groups. For a full list of the museums and their details (Hebrew), click here.
The museums include: Beit Ha-Tefutzot (Diaspora Museum), Haifa Art Museum, Israel Museum (Jerusalem), Eretz Israel Museum (Tel Aviv), Nahum Gutman Art Museum (Tel Aviv), Madatech (Haifa), Ashdod Art Museum, Rishon LeTzion Museum and Tikotin Museum of Japanese Art.
Museums in Jerusalem: Israel Museum, Museum of Underground Prisoners, Museum of Natural History, Bloomfield Science Museum, Tower of David Museum, Old Yishuv Court Museum, Yad Vashem, Bible Lands Museum, U. Tzubachutz Fashion Event in Haifa This Week
Sunday, October 24, 2010 15:16 No CommentsThis week, there will be a special event in Haifa – Tzubachutz, a fashion party with a fashion fair, make-up and hairdressing, bars and cafes, and a children’s area.
On the program: Fashion displays – casual wear, children’s wear, evening wear, designer wear and bridal wear, from a range of designers; hair cutting and design displays; street part with a DJ and air dancers, and more.
The event will take place on 28/10 from 17:00 in the German colony in Haifa.
Entry is FREE.
Free Entry for Kids/Free and Special Events at the Israel Museum

The Israel Museum has been renovated a today was reopened! This week there will be special events and festivities in the museum open to the public, including musical performances and various activities for all ages. The special events will be offered for no extra cost to museum visitors.
Tomorrow, Tuesday 27/7, there will be a concert by Shalom Hanoch and on Thursday 29/7 there will be a concert by Yehudit Ravitz; no extra charge for the performances.
Entry to the museum for children (up to age 17) will be FREE tomorrow and during the entire month of August.

Magnum Gold Bar at Tel Aviv Port

Strauss Ice Cream is hosting a special ice cream event, along the theme of “Magnum Gold”, at the Tel Aviv Port. The area is decorated like a secure vault and the public are invited to enjoy a range of hand-made Magnum ice creams (not available in stores) that are being made on the spot, as well as performances of modern dance combined with acrobatics.
Entry is free. Mini Magnums cost 8 NIS each.
The event is being held at Reading 3 at Tel Aviv Port until 25/7/10; Sun-Wed, 17:00-24:00; Thurs, 10:00-17:00, Fri, 11:00-15:00 and Motzaei Shabbat from the end of Shabbat until 01:00.
