Park and Ride Free to the Old City During Pesach
Sunday, March 28, 2010 23:24 1 CommentSave yourself from parking headaches and fines on chol ha-mo’ed Pesach (31/3-1/4, 07:00-24:00). The Old City will be closed to cars and buses on these days.
The Jerusalem Municipality is offering free/low-cost parking and free transportation to and from the Old City from various points around Jerusalem:
Teddy Stadium car park – free parking
Ammunition Hill car park – free parking
Russian Compound car park – free parking
Old Train Station car park – free parking
Le’om car park (opposite the Supreme Court) – 20 NIS for parking
Safra Square car park – 20 NIS for parking
Regular buses to the Old City (1,2,3,38) will run more frequently during cho ha-mo’ed.

Pinuk Festival of Scents

The activities are geared for children aged 5-10 and entry fee including all activities is 15 shekels per person (from 5 and over). The event last 1.5 hours (you choose the time slot you wish to participate in).
Activities include:
Art and craft activities: Mobile of scents, pillow making, silk flowers, organza perfumed bags
Fair games: Wheel of scents, bubbles, memory game, bullseye
Scientific stations teaching about scents
Multi-senses multi-media show (only persons aged 5 and above will be allowed to enter this show)

Visit Mekorot Centers on Chol Ha-Mo’ed for Free
Sunday, March 28, 2010 23:01 1 CommentMekorot, Israel’s national water company, has various visitors’ centers around Israel, and they will be open to the public on chol ha-mo’ed Pesach (for free). The different centers will offer activities related to water, suitable to all ages and for the whole family. The centers will be open on 31/3 and 1/4 from 08:30-15:00 and on 2/4 from 08:30-13:00.
If you plan to visit one of the centers, make sure to book before you go. The free-call number for booking at all centers is: 1800-250-270.

Coupon for FREE Shilav and Yoplait Shtoozim Pesach Event

Once you have joined the club, you can print out a coupon to present at the event. To get the coupon, click here.
The event will take place at the Shilav Center at the Port of Tel Aviv, from 31/3-2/4 (Wed and Thurs 10:00-19:00; Fri 09:00-14:00). Activities will start every hour on the hour; registration is at the event.
There will be spring arts and crafts for older children (ages 3-7) and a play center for younger children (ages 0-3).

Free Tnuva “Houses in the Forest” festival during Pesach

You can order up to 6 tickets per person.
Fill in your details, choose the day (and session) you want to attend and you’ll receive an email confirmation.
The festival includes a large display of various Israeli houses and homes together with arts and crafts, a play, story hour, sport activities, animals, a maze, a musical performance, puppets and more.
The festival is suitable for families with children aged 3-12.

Design your own Coke can!

You can design your own coke can and they will send you the coke can printed with your design – FOR FREE!
The catch is that they have a limited amount available per hour, so you may have to try a few times (at the beginning of each hour) before you manage to get the chance to design one.
The special runs from today until 29/03/10, (each hour) between 10am and 10pm, and 8am-2pm on Fridays and erev chag.
At certain malls around Israel there will be stalls where you can design a 1.5 liter coke bottle with a photo and receive it on the spot for free!
And if you don’t make it into their quota then you can design a virtual label on their site and send it to someone.
