Save yourself from parking headaches and fines on chol ha-mo’ed Pesach (31/3-1/4, 07:00-24:00). The Old City will be closed to cars and buses on these days.

The Jerusalem Municipality is offering free/low-cost parking and free transportation to and from the Old City from various points around Jerusalem:

Teddy Stadium car park – free parking
Ammunition Hill car park – free parking
Russian Compound car park – free parking
Old Train Station car park – free parking
Le’om car park (opposite the Supreme Court) – 20 NIS for parking
Safra Square car park – 20 NIS for parking

Regular buses to the Old City (1,2,3,38) will run more frequently during cho ha-mo’ed.

Pinuk (soap and shampoo company) are hosting a special event during chol ha-mo’ed Pesach (31/3-1/4) at the Port of Tel Aviv. The activities are geared for children aged 5-10 and entry fee including all activities is 15 shekels per person (from 5 and over). The event last 1.5 hours (you choose the time slot you wish to participate in).

Activities include:
Art and craft activities: Mobile of scents, pillow making, silk flowers, organza perfumed bags
Fair games: Wheel of scents, bubbles, memory game, bullseye
Scientific stations teaching about scents
Multi-senses multi-media show (only persons aged 5 and above will be allowed to enter this show)

Mekorot, Israel’s national water company, has various visitors’ centers around Israel, and they will be open to the public on chol ha-mo’ed Pesach (for free). The different centers will offer activities related to water, suitable to all ages and for the whole family. The centers will be open on 31/3 and 1/4 from 08:30-15:00 and on 2/4 from 08:30-13:00.

If you plan to visit one of the centers, make sure to book before you go. The free-call number for booking at all centers is: 1800-250-270.

Shilav and Yoplait Shtoozim are offering a free Pesach event for members of Shilav’s club. If you are not a member of the Shilav club, you can join here for free.

The event will take place at the Shilav Center at the Port of Tel Aviv, from 31/3-2/4 (Wed and Thurs 10:00-19:00; Fri 09:00-14:00). Activities will start every hour on the hour; registration is at the event.

There will be spring arts and crafts for older children (ages 3-7) and a play center for younger children (ages 0-3).

Toys R Us will be offering activities in most of their stores around Israel during chol ha-mo’ed Pesach. The activities will include entertainment by a clown, a make-up artist and sparkly tattoos.

During Chol Ha-Mo’ed Pesach, there will be a spring festival at Ein Yael in Jerusalem, near Malcha (31/3-1/4 10:00-18:00), including arts and crafts, activities with animals, a play, and a tour. Ein Yael will be open with regular workshops for the rest of Pesach (2/4-6/4, 10:00-16:00).

Tnuva is hosting a festival at Ne’ot Kedumim during Chol ha-Mo’ed Pesach and entry is free – but you have to order tickets in advance (so hurry before they run out).

You can order up to 6 tickets per person.

Fill in your details, choose the day (and session) you want to attend and you’ll receive an email confirmation.

The festival includes a large display of various Israeli houses and homes together with arts and crafts, a play, story hour, sport activities, animals, a maze, a musical performance, puppets and more.

The festival is suitable for families with children aged 3-12.

Coca Cola Israel have a special on at the moment as a Pesach gift.

You can design your own coke can and they will send you the coke can printed with your design – FOR FREE!

The catch is that they have a limited amount available per hour, so you may have to try a few times (at the beginning of each hour) before you manage to get the chance to design one.

The special runs from today until 29/03/10, (each hour) between 10am and 10pm, and 8am-2pm on Fridays and erev chag.

At certain malls around Israel there will be stalls where you can design a 1.5 liter coke bottle with a photo and receive it on the spot for free!

And if you don’t make it into their quota then you can design a virtual label on their site and send it to someone.
